No New Posts The Port

The Port of Rivencroft. Crude but effective is how most would describe it. There is no shine, no glamor except for what is being imported and exported. The decks are made of thick dark wood that have been bolted together from underneath, massive and wide docks stretch along the half-moon shaped port. There is enough space for two massive ships, three large ships, and twelve medium or smaller ships. Cargo can be moved through specialized cargo elevators that have large platforms that raise the load without having to go up or down the main stairs that lead to the port.

No New Posts Beggar's Row - 1 Viewing

Beggar's Row, a place where people go to buy questionable items, or go to lose what they have on them that day. Its run down and put together with spare materials from different buildings. The buildings look like they are always on the verge of falling apart, but manage to keep standing even with all of the traffic that passes through the area. Black market deals are common within this district because of how crowded it can become during the day. The attitude within the district varies greatly from depressing to a large drunken party.

No New Posts Sutton District

To the West of Goblin Town and resting against the sea is another port, though with a number of very large buildings that stand nearby the sea. Each of these are major factories that are built to construct various things for the city. The Sutton District is named after the amount of soot that covers the entirety of the district, otherwise it would just be the west part of Goblin Town. Because the two are basically linked, it is no surprise that many folks who do not have an occupation outside of Goblin Town will normally work in the Sutton District Factories.

No New Posts Fort Odehan

To the Northeast of the city, protecting the East side of the Theater District and walling off the main paths from the North is Fort Odehan. Odehan is a place where the city's militia is situated at, training on a daily basis while standing guard and watching for any invaders. This is also the place where many of the 'Rivencroft Knights' are often training to make sure that they hone their skills and remain strong even during peacetime.

No New Posts Watchman's Circle

The Central Ring of the City is mostly comprimised more of the Merchant Districts, as well as several housing areas meant directly for the merchants to live. There are, however, three locations that are walled off from the rest the central ring. These are called the Watchman's circles, the barracks and training grounds for the guards that protect the entire city. Each one of these has a large tower set against the walls of the central ring (facing out to the outer ring), a place where the guards can look out to the city.

No New Posts Divine Circle

The Divine Circle, as clean as it can get within the district, it shines with polished metals and expensive looking statues that line the streets. The streets made of polished stone brick laid painstakingly over the entire area. Several different churches share the space, though the larger churches are towards the center with smaller churches along the sides of the district. The larger churches have more stone work than most, but fewer metals within its design while the smaller churches have an equal balance of metal and stone design features.

No New Posts Nolden Heights

Just north of the White Court is a large, sectioned off area, one that has a few guards that hold the post. This sectioned off area is filled with several homes and a few small parks and businesses in it. Unlike the rest of the city, this is a district filled only of elves. Often from a moderate wealth or rich but unable to get a place in the Flower District, Nolden Heights is a location strictly for elves and elves alone. This leaves this district to be somewhat beautiful in the way it is constructed...sadly only a few people can venture there that isn't an elf.

No New Posts Goblin Town

To the South of the city walls looks to be somewhat of a small town in itself. A series of huts of varying sizes can be found here, a dirty place compared to the painted walls of the Theater and Flower Districts. Goblin town is named due to the main occupants are, in fact, Goblins. Unlike their much dumber folks from other worlds, these Goblins tend to just live like the everyday lowborn. Some are farmers, others are pigherders and some are even blacksmiths, and the small city of Goblin Town shows just how hard working they are. Diseases are known to pass here first, though there are many healers that remain not too far away to make sure these people are in somewhat good health.

No New Posts The White Court

Within the walls to the Northwest, guarding the cobble road that leads up to the Flower District is a very small district. Compared to the multi-colors of the rest of the city, this large set of buildings remains all white, save for blue and red banners that hang off the walls. The way the buildings are built around the cobble road makes it look like a giant Italian Villa, shaped like a C, with an open archway that lets the cobbled road through. The White Court is the main courthouse within the city, the place that will remain unflawed by the marks of the rest of the city (hence the white marble). The Lowborn have called it the ‘Deadman’s Alley’, due to the fact that unless you are a noble or highborn, chances are you leaving this district alive after being prosecuted is slim.

No New Posts The Flower District

The Flower District is the home District to the Nobles. Settled just Northwest to the City Walls, the Flower District rests upon a large Cliffside that overlooks the sea to the west, the Theater District to the East, and the rest of the city. This District is walled in and fortified, with a large enough cobble path that leads from the city to it, large enough for two stagecoaches to travel next to one another if need be. The Flower District is so named for its massive gardens, so beautifully arranged in great finesse. Some known plants in this world grow upon vines, in which grow upon the many mansions in this district...so thus the houses have flowers that embellish the walls. If it’s not the flowers, it is the magnificent mansions that are constructed here, a place where a noble of excess fortune can overindulge themselves with their mansions. Some lower born folks have mentioned it can be a bit of an eyesore at times. Looming above the mansions is the Crimson Keep of Fennor, otherwise known as the Senate Building where Senators from the region can come to deligate. Along the cobble path, heading towards the city is a tall tower, with the base as wide as a tavern and as tall as six stories. The building is as black as oil and looms over the city. It is known as Blackwatch, the original Headquarters for Blackgate Watch.

No New Posts The Theater District - 1 Viewing

Just north of the walls of the main city, the Theater District is the most colorful part of the entire city. If one were to walk from the wall of Rivencroft to the northernmost tip of the Theater District, one would see that each street seems to have been constructed with different materials. From the Clay and stone buildings at the beginning to the more wood-like buildings near the outskirts, this District often ignores the oddity of construction due to the banners of silk, colored hides and banners that roam that cover each building and hang over the streets. There’s even spaces for carnivals to camp themselves in this district, it is a place of peace, fun, and debauchery. Many of the known brothels exist in this part of the city, with known guilds amongst them. The largest of these guilds are the Prostitution Guild, which has several large brothels in various parts in the District. None more so than Siren Hall, the largest brothel in the city.

No New Posts The Golden Circle

When leaving the city, the largest road that leads out is known as the Golden Highway, which will eventually lead you to the Capitals of the three Kingdoms that border this region. Where the Golden Highway begins in Rivencroft, however, is the absolute center of the city itself. Because of this, it is known as ‘the Gold Circle’, in which the road circles around the Tower of Saena (Tower of Portals). It still isn’t the only part if the district, just beyond the roads are thousands of shops, owned by many of the merchants that live in the city.
